BMW Ghost Immobiliser
The Ghost utilizes the data bus CAN to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from replacing the ECU or putting in a new lock to bypass the security system.
Unlike other immobilisers the Ghost does not use LED indicators or key fobs. It relies on the buttons of your vehicle to allow you access to a unique disarming sequence that only you know.
Stop & Start
If you have ever driven a new BMW or used the stop-start feature then you may have noticed that once stopped the engine will continue to run for about 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to monitor the vehicle for signals coming from the ignition key. When it detects this the vehicle will continue to run. The Autowatch 2 Ghost is a device that can stop this by stopping the vehicle every time you press a button.
Our BMW ghost immobiliser, which is a next-generation device, does not require cutting OEM wires or install key fobs or alarms from the aftermarket. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with a unique PIN code that is accessible via buttons in your car. This allows you to enter key sequences that are not accessible in normal media menus. For instance, volume up/down or source air conditioning, cruise control etc. The PIN can range between 4 and 20 numbers which makes it extremely difficult for thieves to determine or crack.
In addition, we can also add a service / valet mode to the system, this is activated when your car is in for servicing so that the Ghost is hidden from the garage. This can be accomplished by pressing the service button on your infotainment device 5 times (the system will flash to confirm this) and when you return the Ghost will automatically arm again.

Service Mode / Valet Mode

It works by utilizing the factory buttons of your vehicle to create an individual sequence of pushes which only you can recognize, similar to like the pin code security on your mobile phone. It's incredibly discreet and quiet and dissuading even the most determined thieves from ever trying!
When parked at home or in a meet and greet situation In a meet and greet situation, the Ghost can be switched into service mode which allows you to start the vehicle using your keys in the normal way, but stops the engine from starting again unless the proper code is entered. This is ideal for those who need to transfer their vehicles to valet companies, or trusted family members or friends. This allows you to take your car to the garage for maintenance and maintenance, or other maintenance. without worrying about it being tampered with by an expert mechanic while you are waiting.
When the service/valet mode is enabled, your BMW will not be able to drive after it has been turned on. This prevents anyone else from attempting to drive it while you're away. After you return, it will return to normal stopping your vehicle from being tampered with or stolen again.
We can install the Ghost to any BMW, all you need is the correct keys since the device doesn't use the original remotes, and can be used with them. Anti-Hijack
Ghost developed this discreet, unobtrusive device to combat the growing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. It is designed to stop thieves from adding a new key or replacing the ECU in order to start your vehicle and then drive away. Ghost connects to your CAN network and utilizes buttons on your vehicle to create an individual push-sequence that has to be entered before the engine can begin.
When the anti-hijacking feature is activated, any attempt to restart the engine will be blocked. Once the system detects that the vehicle is no longer moving, it will honk the horn and flash the indicators, if it is not able to identify the correct code it will also stop the engine (where possible). By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can disable the Anti-Hijack feature. This allows your vehicle to temporarily start without having to enter PIN.
If you own a GPS device that is connected to your BMW it is possible to use it to disable the Anti-Hijack feature, allowing you to still use the navigation system inside your car whilst the vehicle is parked and unsupervised. If you have a smart-phone you can also hook it to your Ghost app to control the anti-hijack feature and other functions.

Remote Control
We can connect your Ghost device to your mobile application for remote control of keyless start and go functionality. This is useful when mechanics or valets need to start your car and you need to go somewhere and not in the vicinity. The system will allow you to turn your vehicle on, select drive and exit service mode without needing your key fobs. You can also view your vehicle in real time on a map on your smartphone, which is ideal to track your car while on the move.
The Ghost can be placed on the dashboard or within the centre console. It is completely hidden, tamperproof, and does not need any additional wiring. The device is connected to the CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to Ethernet cable) and a unique pin code is programmed in it. The pin code must be entered prior to the engine's start. This stops thieves from gaining access to the system using the cloned or replaced ECU.
If the vehicle is stolen in any way, the Ghost will go into a service mode and disables all functions until the PIN code is entered or you use the mobile app to disable it. This feature was designed to protect your vehicle from high tech thieves who are using relay boxes to steal your car. It will even stop the thieves from being able to use their mobile phone to activate your sat-nav or MP3 player to track your car!
Ghost can also stop the 'Relay Style Frequency Amplifier'. This is the most common method of stealing a vehicle with a keyfob which has been cloned, or stolen through hacking. Ghost can help you prevent this kind of theft by installing a device called Secure-A Key inside your vehicle.
